Engagements & pricing

Clear scope. Published prices.

Every engagement has a defined outcome, a fixed price agreed before work starts, and acceptance criteria written down so we both know what “done” means. Prices are in Canadian dollars.

  • Acceptance criteria agreed in writing before work starts
  • Architecture, code and infrastructure as code in your repositories
  • Automated tests, CI/CD and deployment to your AWS account

  • Target architecture and integration plan
  • Prioritized remediation roadmap
  • Technical documentation to support your accreditation work

Architecture advice, not legal advice. We work alongside your legal and compliance advisors.

Fractional Architect / CTO

From CAD $9,500 / month

Monthly, 3-month minimum

A principal architect on your leadership team for a set number of days each month.

Best for: Companies that need senior technical leadership without a full-time executive hire.

  • About four days a month of senior time, scheduled around your priorities
  • Architecture decisions and reviews, written down
  • Hiring, mentoring and vendor oversight
  • A monthly written update for leadership

We take on a small number of retainers at a time so each gets real attention.

Larger builds, ongoing development and specialist reviews are scoped individually. Tell us what you need and we’ll suggest the simplest engagement that fits.

Describe your project

How an engagement runs

Six steps, every time

  1. 01. Understand

We start with your business goal, your current system and the constraints that matter: regulation, budget, team and timelines.

  2. 02. Agree scope and acceptance criteria

Before any build work, we agree in writing what will be delivered and how we will both know it works. That becomes the fixed scope and price.

  3. 03. Build in short, visible increments

Work happens in your repositories and cloud accounts, with regular demos, so you can see progress and change direction early.

  4. 04. Test against the criteria

Automated tests and evaluations check the work against the agreed criteria, including security and, for AI systems, accuracy.

  5. 05. Launch with infrastructure as code

Deployments are automated and repeatable, so launches are predictable and environments can be rebuilt from code.

  6. 06. Hand over, or keep going

You get documentation and a handover. If you want ongoing architecture leadership, we can continue on a fractional retainer.

Questions

Frequently asked

Who actually does the work?

Our principal architect leads every engagement and does the architecture and core engineering personally. If an engagement needs extra hands, we tell you up front who they are and what they will do.

Why publish prices?

So you can decide quickly whether we’re a fit, without a sales process. “From” prices are where typical engagements start; the exact price is fixed in writing once we’ve agreed the scope.

What does the Readiness Review cost if we continue?

Nothing extra. The full review fee is credited against any follow-on engagement booked within 60 days.

Do you work with companies outside Canada?

Yes. We’re based in Toronto and work remotely with clients across Canada and the United States, in Eastern Time–friendly hours.

Will you sign an NDA?

Yes. Confidentiality is standard in our work, which is also why client names don’t appear on this site.

Do prices include tax?

Prices are in Canadian dollars and exclude applicable sales taxes.
